Welcome to Iron Workers Local 263

Iron Workers Local Union No. 263 was chartered on November 20, 1918 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The majority of our work is the erection of structural steel along with precast concrete erection but also includes architectural and miscellaneous steel.  Recent years has seen an increase of specialty work such as the erection of wind turbines in West Texas along with Industrial Maintenance Projects.

We pride ourselves in our skills and work ethic.  We struggle to provide a decent living wage for our members, to provide health insurance for them and their families and provide a pension plan, so that when retirement comes, they will still be able to provide for themselves with dignity.

In partnership with our contractors we have a commitment to excellence, to ensure projects are safe, completed on time and under budget.  We have always believed that education and training is the cornerstone of our Local Union.  A well trained Iron Worker is always in demand.  We provide extensive training through our Apprenticeship Program as well as Journeymen Upgrading in the newest industry techniques, so that we can keep Journeymen skills evolving with the ever changing construction industry.

We hope you enjoy our site!  Please contact us with any questions.
